Your edge isn't a setup.
It's how you think.

The market doesn't
break you. You do.

Stop studying charts.
Start studying yourself.

Risk isn't a number.
It's a relationship.

I spent a decade on a professional futures desk. What I learned is that the traders who win long-term aren't the ones with better charts — they're the ones who've mastered themselves.

Background

Not another guru.

I'm a trader who teaches — not a teacher who trades.

Jaymes Rosenthal

I started on a professional futures trading desk in Chicago and spent a decade there — trading real size, real money, real consequences. Before that, I played poker seriously, which taught me more about risk, tilt, and decision-making under pressure than any textbook ever could.

Now I trade my own capital from Southern California and create content focused on what actually moves the needle for traders: psychology, self-awareness, risk management, and the discipline of showing up without sabotaging yourself.

I don’t sell signals. I don’t have a secret indicator. What I have is over a decade of experience navigating the mental warfare of markets — and a genuine interest in helping others stop getting in their own way.

What I Believe

Three things most traders ignore.

These aren't trading rules. They're the foundations every rule sits on.

01 — Self

You Are the Variable

The market doesn't care about your feelings, your P&L target, or your ego. The only thing you control is yourself — your process, your sizing, your emotional state. Master that, and the results follow.

02 — Risk

Risk First, Always

Every professional I've worked with thinks about risk before reward. Amateurs fantasize about entries. Professionals obsess over what happens when they're wrong. This shift changes everything.

03 — Reflection

Self-Reflection Is Edge

Journaling, reviewing, being honest about your tendencies — this is the unsexy work that separates consistent traders from everyone else. Study yourself as hard as you study charts.

Community

Trading is lonely. It doesn't have to be.

Where to find me.

Weekly videos and posts on trading psychology, mindset, and the reality of life in the markets.

For the serious few.

I keep my direct work intentionally small. If you're a trader who has the basics down but keeps hitting the same walls — overtrading, revenge trading, sizing wrong, freezing on entries — and you want someone with real experience in your corner, here's how we can work together.

Get my best thinking, direct.

Occasional emails on mindset, lessons, and perspectives you won't find in the public content.
